Hello! My name is Abbie “Melissa” Martin Nolind and I am teaching your 5th grader in both Math & Science at Hampton Intermediate School in Hampton, SC. I hold degrees in Business from Anderson University. Clemson University and the University of South Carolina. I also hold degree a BS degree in Elementary Education, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Walden University, as well as a MS in Human Services from Walden as well. I have been teaching for 9 years with in the county of Barnwell, most recently at Macedonia Elementary / Middle School. I have taught 4th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grades.

My teaching philosophy is direct, concise and clear to aid your scholar in learning in the unique way he/she learns. We all learn differently and I promote all types of learning. We can be visual, auditorily, and tactical in transforming our class into songs, motions, chants, etc. I am very organized and ask that the scholars are organizing at this grade level now. My big 3 values within the classroom are Respect, Responsibility, and Routines. I love to have fun with my scholars and our classroom is very active!

Most importantly to me is making sure that a community teaches children and I love having constant open communication with parents, guardians, and other teachers who teach related arts, or other subjects to make a cohesive plan for each individual scholar.
